Terms of Sale

These terms govern every purchase made on meridianplate.com. Reading them before you order is the point of publishing them.

1. Who you are buying from

This shop is operated by Yair Sivan, trading as MERIDIANsole proprietor (osek patur) registered in Israel. Throughout these terms, "we", "us" and "Meridian" mean that business, and "you" means the person placing the order.

We are an Israeli business selling internationally. Goods are produced and dispatched by our print partners in the United States and the European Union, so a parcel will usually reach you from within your own region — but your contract of sale is with the Israeli business named above, and that is the business that answers for it.

2. Prices, currency and taxes

All prices and all charges are in United States dollars (USD). Your bank may apply its own conversion and fees if your account is held in another currency. The price shown at checkout is the price charged; there are no fees added after the fact.

Import duty, VAT and customs handling charges, where a destination country levies them, are not included and are payable by you to the carrier or the authorities. We cannot calculate them in advance for every jurisdiction and we do not collect them on anyone's behalf. Because production is domestic within the US and the EU, most orders to those regions cross no border at all.

Your settled card statement will show MERIDIANPLATE.COM. While a payment is still pending, some banks show the processor rather than us — it may read BlueSnap, Payment Processed by BlueSnap, or Online Payment. It settles to the descriptor above once the charge clears. If a settled charge appears under a name that is neither of those, write to us before disputing it — we would rather refund you in a day than argue with your bank for a month.

3. Orders and acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we accept it, which happens when your payment is authorised and we confirm the order by email. Until then nothing is owed by either side.

We may decline an order — and refund it in full — where an item is unavailable, where a price or description was published in error, where the delivery address cannot be served by our printers, or where we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraud. Declining is not a penalty and carries no charge.

Every item is made to order. Nothing sits on a shelf waiting: the garment is printed after you buy it. That is what makes the cancellation window short, and it is why the returns policy below is more generous than the law requires.

4. Payment and card security

We accept major credit and debit cards. Payment is processed by BlueSnap Inc. Card details are entered directly into fields hosted by our payment processor and are never transmitted to, or stored on, meridianplate.com. We never see your full card number, and we do not store card data of any kind.

Your card is charged once, at the point of purchase, for the exact total shown on the order summary. We do not hold cards on file, we do not run subscriptions, and we do not charge a card again without a new purchase.

The amount charged is always the amount our server calculated for your basket and delivery address. If a payment fails or is declined by your bank, no order is created and no money moves; you can try again with another card without losing your basket.

5. Production and delivery

Production and transit are quoted together, as a single window measured from the moment you order to the moment the parcel is handed over. The current windows and prices are published in full on the Shipping & delivery panel and are shown again, for your specific address, before you pay.

Free standard shipping applies to orders over $120. Delivery windows are estimates in good faith, not guarantees: carriers, customs and weather are outside our control. If a parcel is materially late, write to us and we will chase the carrier and, where it is lost, reprint or refund.

Risk of loss passes to you on delivery. Title passes when payment clears in full.

6. Returns, exchanges and refunds

Thirty days from delivery, unworn and unwashed, with the printed size mark intact. We pay return postage inside the United States and the European Union — email us and a prepaid label comes back within one business day. Outside those two regions the return is at your cost.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. We start the refund when the carrier scans the parcel, not when it reaches us; from that point your bank typically posts it within five to ten business days, which is a timing we do not control.

Exchanges are handled as a return plus a new order, because the replacement has to be printed from scratch.

If a print is misaligned, cracked on arrival, or the wrong plate entirely — that is on us. Send a photograph and we reprint it at our cost, with no return required.

A note on the EU right of withdrawal. Goods made to the consumer's specification or clearly personalised are excepted from the fourteen-day withdrawal right under Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU, and everything we sell is printed to order. We do not rely on that exception: the thirty-day policy above is offered voluntarily and applies to every customer, in every country, on top of any statutory right you may have. Nothing here limits rights you hold under the mandatory consumer law of your own country.

7. Cancelling an order

Write to orders@meridianplate.com with your order number. If the plate has not yet gone to the press we cancel and refund in full. Once printing has begun the item exists and cannot be returned to stock, so the thirty-day returns policy takes over from there — which reaches the same place, one carrier scan later.

8. Our drawings

Every plate, illustration, photograph and line of text on this site is ours or licensed to us. Buying a garment buys the garment. It does not license the artwork for reproduction, resale, print-on-demand listing, or training of machine-learning models.

9. Liability

We are responsible for loss you suffer as a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

The site is provided as it stands. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, though we would rather hear about it than not: hello@meridianplate.com.

10. Using the site

Do not place orders fraudulently, on a card that is not yours, or for resale under another brand. Do not attempt to interfere with the site, its payment path, or other people's orders. We may refuse service and cancel orders where any of this happens.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Israel, and the courts of Israel have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

Before anything formal: write to us. Almost everything that reaches a dispute could have been a reply to an email.

12. Changes

We may revise these terms. The version that governs your purchase is the one published when you placed the order, and the date at the top of this page tells you which that was.

13. Contact

One inbox, answered within one business day: hello@meridianplate.com. Order questions can go straight to orders@meridianplate.com. Postal address and telephone are listed in section 1.

How we handle the personal data behind an order is set out separately, in the Privacy Policy.
