What a where we met map is

It is a street map of one place, cut into a heart or a circle, with your names and the date under it. The place is the one where your story started. The map is drawn from real street data, so the blocks, the parks and the shoreline are where they actually are.

Most couples can point to the exact corner. Some only know the town. Both work: type an address for a close view of a few blocks, or a neighborhood for a wider one. The editor shows the poster as you type, and that preview is the file that goes to the printer.

What people put on it

The exact spot

A street address works best. The heart (or circle) is centered on it, so the corner you met on sits in the middle of the poster.

A place that closed

Plenty of couples met somewhere that is gone now. Type the old address and keep the name of the place on the poster.

The app date

If you met online, use the place of the first date. That is where the story on the wall starts.

A whole neighborhood

Type just the neighborhood or the campus for a wider map. Good when you met at school or lived on the same block.

Questions

What text goes on the poster?

Your names (up to 40 characters), the place as you typed it, and the date. You can pick from three text sizes.

Can I use coordinates?

Type an address or a place name. If the search finds a few places with the same name, pick the right one from the list.

Will it look like the preview?

Yes. The preview in the editor is the file we print, at 300 dpi. At checkout you can open it full size and read every letter.

What if the place is not on today's maps?

Type it the way you remember it. If it is gone (a bar that closed, a street that was renamed), we show the town around it and the poster keeps the name you typed. For the exact spot, type its old street address.

When does it arrive?

Each poster is made to order and printed in California. US orders arrive in 4 to 8 business days, framed or not. We email tracking the day it ships.
